A major WWE event to take place in Perth has been announced for 2024 and it will see superstars fight it out in the Elimination Chamber. The 60,000+ capacity Optus Stadium will host Australia’s first major event since 2018’s Super Show-Down. The face of the roster has certainly changed since 2018, but one WWE Superstar who is expected to be a focal point, having risen through the ranks since then, is Australia’s own Rhea Ripley.
The current Women’s World Champion shared her excitement in a WWE statement: “I’m beyond proud to represent Australia every single time I step inside a WWE ring and to bring a Premium Live Event to Perth is a dream come true.”

The show itself will take place on Saturday 24th February, which is firmly on the “Road to WrestleMania”. Rumours earlier this week had indicated this timeframe, but the announcement of one of the company’s major Premium Live Events heading down under is a huge surprise for wrestling fans.
Negotiations between WWE officials and the local government had been taking place for some time and were first reported by Dave Meltzer back in March 2023. It appears to be a deal similar to those struck with Cardiff for Clash at the Castle, and other local governments for their respective recent international based WWE events.
