It has been revealed today that the world famous sports entertainment Spectacular known as Wrestlemania has a home for 2018 and the event will take place once again at the Mercedes-Benz Superdome in New Orleans.
WWE held their biggest event of the wrestling calendar there just a few years ago when 75,167 fans saw one of the most historic and emotional nights in wrestling history when Daniel Bryan realised a life long dream to become WWE World Heavyweight Champion and Brock Lesnar shocked the world ending the undefeated streak of The Undertaker at Wrestlemania 30.
Whilst it does feel like a bit of a shame for the event to go back to a city just four years after it was previously there, especially for the other major cites worldwide hoping to get the big tourist attraction that is Wrestlemania weekend, it’s hard to deny the vibe and excitement in such a place like New Orleans with its rich cultural history of Jazz and entertainment in general as well as the world famous party atmosphere of Bourbon Street.
WWE are set to officially announce Wrestlemania 34 on Tuesday in New Orleans at a press conference.
We can’t wait to see what goes down in 2018, Wrestlemania cities always have a lot to live up to and for New Orleans it’s about living up to their own high standards!
