VIDEO: £1 Secret Santa 2016

Some of the Rebellious Noise staff gather to exchange “Secret Santa” Christmas Presents. There was only one rule and that was to keep to a budget of £1…Sorta. Danta Clause comes to town and brings some gifts that are questionable, awesome and silly. The boys also talk about their favourite presents from previous years and have a laugh along the way.
Merry Christmas from Rebellious Noise.

Deaf Havana among new line-up announcements for Brighton’s Breakout Festival 2015

The latest, eagerly awaited line-up announcement for Breakout Festival is here, and it’s big.

Deaf Havana, We Are The Ocean, Blitz Kids, Zoax and By Defintion are confirmed to be joining the already diverse line up of Breakout Festival 2015. This next wave of announcements brings an epic rock edge to the devastatingly heavy line-up which already includes SikTh, Martyr Defiled, Black Tongue, TRC and Dead Harts. This huge line-up, with many more to be announced, will take to the stage on 26th September 2015 at Brighton Racecourse.

Festival director Stefan Curzon-Price said:

“This year is all about further establishing Breakout as THE outdoor rock and metal festival for the south east; one that caters for the wide range of tastes that exist across what is already a very united but diverse live music scene. Our first announcement was all about the heavier bands, including a UK festival exclusive; this announcement brings a set of epic rock acts to celebrate the most diverse community led genre in music.”

Initial early bird tickets for this year’s festival sold out on the day of release and the next tier continue to outsell the previous festival many times over. Tickets are available at just £25 until July 2nd only via the official ticketing partners Ticketmaster and Gigantic.

Aspiring musicians will again have a unique opportunity to share the stages with this incredible line-up, by taking part in the “Headliners Choice” award and a public vote competition. Applications are open until 1st June and bands can visit here to apply.

Queue & A with Papa Roach fans (12/03/15)

Rebellious Noise give a “Queue & A” session with Papa Roach fans outside the Camden Roundhouse in London on 12th March 2015. We break the news on the bands monumental set list and ask fans a series of questions from their favourite Papa Roach albums to discussions about “sad songs” having a place in live shows and moshing with 6 broken bones, plus much more interesting discussions, opinions and lots of laughs.

Papa Roach to play ‘Infest’ in it’s entirety tonight in London

One of the biggest albums of the start of the millennium will be played in full tonight when Papa Roach will play Infest to a lucky London crowd.

The band recently announced they would be playing the album in full for a Cancer benefit show in their how town of Vacaville, Californa later this year but have also been hinting and surprising gig goers with the same set list before that in the early part of 2015.

Rebellious Noise sources have told us that today will be the first of those lucky days for Nu Metal fans and since we got word we have noticed that lead singer Jacoby Shaddix has posted two teaser images with the first appearing to be a hand written set list that includes the entire track list of their debut album and the second image being a photo of the album cover.

Infest set list

All things point towards tonight being a great show at the Roundhouse in Camden, the band havent played many of these songs in a very long time including Snakes which was played in Bristol two nights ago for the first time since 2001.

We are excited to see how tonight plays out and will be outside the venue chatting to fans filming another episode of The “Queue & A“. Come and let us know what you think!

Foo Fighters confirm Glastonbury headline slot during acceptance speech

The Foo Fighters will be returning to Glastonbury for the first time since 1998 this year when they headline the Pyramid stage. Dave Grohl & the gang were accepting an award via a video and explained to fans “Sorry we couldn’t make it tonight, but we will be seeing you over the summer at some big outdoor festival that nobody knows we’re playing” at which point drummer Taylor Hawkins made a joking cough gesture disguising the word “Glastonbury” within it before Dave himself confirmed it by ending with “We’ll see you at Glastonbury” and continuing to thank their fans.
Festival organisers were pleased to announce it themselves with a statement from Emily Eavis saying “We feel incredibly lucky to have confirmed the Foo Fighters for the Pyramid Stage at Glastonbury this year. Very few bands have the power to unite and energise a crowd like Foo Fighters do. We can’t wait for them to rock Worthy Farm on Friday night.”
Tickets have been sold out since October but there may be chance for Foo’s fans that missed out since the festival have confirmed that there is likely to be a resale of any cancelled and returned tickets following April’s ticket balance payment window.

Iron Maiden’s Bruce Dickinson undergoes Cancer treatment

Metal veteran and Iron Maiden lead vocalist Bruce Dickinson has been diagnosed with a cancerous tumour on his tongue. The singer has undergone a seven week programmed aimed to treat the tumor was started in the early stages and has lead to the medical team expecting the 56 year old to make a full recovery. Iron Maiden released a statement on their facebook which mentioned that it was “just before Christmas” that the tumour was discovered after Bruce went to his doctors for a routine check up.

We  at Rebellious Noise would like to wish Bruce Dickinson a speedy recovery and send our thoughts and prayers to all involved and encourage anyone who is unsure about symptoms to visit a doctor urgently themselves.

The full statement from the band is below;

Just before Christmas, Maiden vocalist Bruce Dickinson visited his doctor for a routine check-up. This led to tests and biopsies which revealed a small cancerous tumour at the back of his tongue. A seven week course of chemotherapy and radiology treatment was completed yesterday. As the tumour was caught in the early stages, the prognosis thankfully is extremely good. Bruce’s medical team fully expect him to make a complete recovery with the all clear envisaged by late May. It will then take a further few months for Bruce to get back to full fitness. In the meantime we would ask for your patience, understanding and respect for Bruce and his family’s privacy until we update everyone by the end of May. Bruce is doing very well considering the circumstances and the whole team are very positive.
