Sum 41 reunite for performance at APMA’s with Dave ‘Brownsound’ Baksh

Pop Punk legends Sum 41 reunited for a special performance at this years Alternative Press Music Awards which included the surprise return of Dave ‘Brownsound’ Baksh who left the band in 2006. Lead singer Deryck Whibley looked refreshingly much healthier than he had just over a year ago when he had cited years of alcoholism as the trigger for his body breaking down which included the pop punk icon having to re-learn how to walk again. The bands performance in front of adoring fans told of much better times though, as during the medley of hits on came ‘Brownsound‘ just in time for solo during the bands hit In too Deep.

Earlier this month the band announced that they would be releasing a new album and that fans could pre-order via PledgeMusic. Deryck mentioned that after coming off tour with the band 2 years ago that he didn’t know what they were going to do as a band and said “didn’t know what else I had to say” but stated that now 2 years later “with everything that I’ve gone through, now I do have something to say, now I’m ready”. Since the bands reuniting performance Dave Baksh has confirmed that he is back in the band with stating the following on his Instagram page “Yes yes y’all I’m Back. @sum41 thanks to all of the crew, bands and fans making me feel so welcome”. The surprises didn’t stop there though because hip hop legend DMC of  the legendary group RUN DMC joined them on stage for an awesome rendition of King of Rock”and then back into ending with one of the bands own What we’re all about.
