Guy Ritchie’s classic movie “Snatch” is being remade into a TV series and will star Rupert Grint as the lead character. The actor who is most known for his portrayal of Ron Weasley in the Harry Potter movies will be playing the role of Charlie Cavondish whilst The Walking Dead’s Dougray Scott has been cast as Vic Hill and Gossip Girl actor Ed Westwick will play Sonny Castillo.
The 10 episode series is being filmed for Sony’s “Crackle” service and is due to air in 2017 with production starting next week in Manchester. The movie has been regarded as one of the best British movies of all time and features fairly highly on IMDB’s top 250, currently sitting at number 93. It will be interesting to see this adaption of the story and spread over so many hours.
