Former WWE star Jimmy Snuka passes away weeks after being declared unfit to stand trial for murder

News has been confirmed by Tamina, current WWE superstar and daughter of Jimmy Snuka, that her father has passed away at the age of 73. The former wrestling superstar had been through a controversial few years after being declared unfit to stand trial for the murder of his girlfriend Nancy Argentino who died in 1983 just a few weeks ago.

Snuka was arrested in 2015 and pleaded not guilty but was deemed not mentally fit to stand trial on January 3rd due to terminal illness of dimentia. “The Superfly” had also been battling cancer since 2015.

The wrestling icon made his name in the WWE throughout the 1970s and 1980 and became a WWE Hall of Fame inductee in 1996, however the wrestlers profile page on the WWE Hall of Fame website was taken down in 2015 during the trial.

The truth about that night in 1983 may never come out but one thing that is for sure is that the Fijian wrestler made a huge impact during his wrestling career and influenced many stars of today and the past, most famously Mick Foley who credits watching Jimmy Snuka jumping off the steel cage at a match in Madison Square Garden as one of the things that inspired him to follow his dream.
