Finally, after two long years of medical evaluations, WWE‘s medical Director Dr. Joseph Maroon, has officially given the ‘YES, YES, YES’ to Daniel Bryan to return to in ring action.
The former WWE World, Intercontinental, United States and Tag Team Champion had seen numerous neurosurgeons, neurologists and concussion experts all who cleared him, but finally got the all clear today from Maroon. He was forced to retire in 2016 and took a job as Smackdown LIVE’s General Manager.
It was always Bryan’s goal to get back in the ring, and there was speculation he could end up in NJPW or Ring of Honor if WWE didn’t clear him by the time his contract expired, rumoured to be in September this year.
With WrestleMania just around the corner, what could this mean for Bryan?
There are some dream matches for Bryan we are surely looking forward to seeing, and how WWE incorporates him into the storylines will be interesting to see.
