It has been announced that the up and coming “third brand” of WWE will be coming to this years Download Festival. The stars of NXT will appear and do what they do best, which is “Take Over”. The festival has previously had wrestling on it’s long list of attractions with British based PROGRESS Wrestling getting a great reception at last years event.
A statement released on the festival website reads: “Joining our music headliners, you’ll be able to make your way to a purpose built ring to catch WWE superstars: Finn Balor, Bayley, Baron Corbin, Jason Jordan, Chad Gable (American Alpha), Asuka, Shinsuke Nakamura and more display their athleticism and strength.”.
NXT will be touring the UK straight after their appearance at the festival and tickets for all shows are now on sale. The festival spectacle will be staged in the main arena and we can’t wait to see what happens when the long lineage of “Rock and Wrestling” passes through Download 2016.
