Playstation games are coming to Windows PC

Did you ever try and put your Playstation games in the CD-Rom and just hope it would work as a kid? Well I did…and it didn’t. But now, Playstation have announced that it will be bringing its “Playstation Now” service to Windows PC. Gamers will be able to play PS3 games on their computers using a subscription and a DualShock 4 controller. The games will stream via the internet, so no need for any discs, just like the service thats already available on PS3, PS4, PS Vita and some Smart TVs and Blu Ray players. A Playstation Now subscription currently costs £13 per month in the UK and has over 400 Playstation 3 titles available on it.

Playstation have said that the service will be coming to the UK “soon” and will follow in the US and Canada shortly after. This will surely have a huge impact on the console wars and could be a step into the direction of gamers not needing to own a console anymore with Xbox recently announcing that Xbox games will soon work on Windows PC also. As the accessibility to Playstation’s archive grows, we will see their games played on smaller devices such as Laptops and Tablets which could revolutionise the way we play our games.
