Manchester United crowned EFL Cup Winners

Zlatan Ibrahimovic bagged two goals to help Manchester United overcome Southampton 3-2 in a dramatic EFL Cup Final at Wembley.

United took the lead through the big Swede’s free-kick, before Jesse Lingard continued his love of Wembley with a third goal in as many games at the ground for Man Utd, having scored in last season’s FA Cup final against Crystal Palace and this season’s Community Shield against Leicester City.

Southampton did remarkably well, and came back with two goals from Manolo Gabbiadini, who had another incorrectly ruled out for offside.

Man United have drawn level second on 5 League cup wins with Aston Villa and Chelsea, but remain three behind Liverpool, who have 8.
