Kurt Cobain’s Credit Card goes up for Auction

kurt cardKurt Cobain’s personal Seafirst Bank  Visa Card and “King of Clubs, Slot Club” card holder are being auctioned. The Nirvana frontman signed the card in blue ballpoint pen and apparently wrote what appears to be a phone number on the back of the card, which expired in February 1995, less than a year after his death. Auctioneer Paddle8, which is offering the item as part of its “Legendary: Memorabilia From Rock Gods and Pop Stars” collection, expects the card to fetch between $7,000 and $9,000.

Other top items on the block include Frank Sinatra’s driver’s licence from 1944, a U2 handwritten setlist from the War era and a variety of concert photographs, signed LPs and posters.

If you’re a Led Zeppelin fan, you can bid on a signed Houses of the Holy LP, a concert poster and several concert photographs. There’s also autographed LPs from Alice Cooper (Goes to Hell) and Pink Floyd (The Wall) as well as Jimi Hendrix photos and concert posters and a signed Jim Morrison check.

All of the items that are part of the “Legendary: Memorabilia From Rock Gods to Pop Stars” auction can be seen at this location.

The auction ends on 26th February and at the time of writing the bidding for Kurt’s Card currently stands at $8,600
