Former WWE Superstar Rosey dies at age 47

Matthew Anoa’i better known as former WWE Superstar Rosey passed away on Monday. The former “Super Hero In Training” thrilled wrestling fans in the early to mid 2000s after joining the WWE in 2002 with his cousin Jamal in the highly entertaining 3 Minute Warning Tag Team. After Jamal left the company Rosey went on to team with The Hurricane and shared a number of great comedic moments on TV as well as a reign as WWE World Tag Team Champions before leaving the company in 2006.

Jamal rejoined in 2005 and it seemed like a 3 Minute Warning reunion was imminent until Rosey was released in early 2006 and Jamal was repackaged as Umaga and had a succesful main even run before being released in 2009 and passing away later that year.

Rosey’s wrestling family doesn’t end there though as he is part of the legendary Anoa’i Family, son of legendary Samoan wrestler Sika and the older brother of current WWE Superstar Roman Reigns who was not at this weeks Raw event before this news was made public.

Rosey had been in hospital in early 2014 with congestive heart failure and atrial fibrillation, however it is currently not known wether or not this was a contributing factor to his death.

Our thoughts and prayers go out to all of the Anoa’i Family and the friends of Matthew Anoa’i.
