Foo Fighters playing Closing Ceremony of Invictus Games, Build up to it in an interesting way!

9679021_foo_10632875_755454094516363_8363106899232733526_nThe Foo Fighters are in England to headline the closing ceremony of the Invictus Games in London.  Tonight, But, filled as always with apparently indefatigable youthful exuberance despite 25 years or so of hard rocking and touring, they decided it would be fun to play some small club shows while in town. “It would be a shame to just do one show while we’re in the UK..” the band tweeted on Monday, and announced that they would play some surprise shows at intimate venues in the build up to it.  They booked the gigs under the name ‘The Holy Shits’ and played at Concorde 2 in Brighton, The new ‘House of Vans’ in London’s Waterloo and The Islington Assembly Halls.

Upon their return home they will play a 1,400 capacity show for a crowd funded gig in Richmond, Virginia.

It just shows how great these guys are! And Dave keeping up his mantle as the nicest guy in rock!
