It’s being reported that the genius behind the Breaking Bad universe is going to be working on a series for HBO titled “Raven“. The series will be based on the book “Raven: The Untold Story of Jim Jones and His People” by journalist Tim Reiterman. Which focuses on the story behind the infamous Jim Jones, a cult leader who in 1978 lead over 900 of his followers to mass murder-suicide in Jonestown, Guyana.
Jones’ followers drank a flavoured drink mixed with cyanide, which has since spread the phrase “Drinking the Kool-Aid” to describe people going along with something that will eventually bring doom through peer pressure.
Vince Gilligan will be teaming up with his former Braking Bad executive producer/director Michelle MacLaren.
